Obsession with bronzers

I am happy to admit that I do love to look bronze and I am always on the hunt to try new bronzers out.
Here is my pick of my current reached bronzers.
Bourjois bronzing primer  MAC blush (harmony)  Soleil tan de chanel
Here is a closer look at the two which I love the most recently:

This Dior bronzer is completely matte and has the most lovely texture as it it feels very velvety and smooth on the skin. The bronzer has a lot of orange and yellow undertones so you do need watch out when your putting on the bronzer. But overall I love the sun kissed look it gives and the pigmentation is great!

Nars Laguna is one of my all time favourite bronzers. It is not completely matte and has very fine golden shimmers running through the powder which I LOVE!  When you apply the bronzer you cannot see any glitter on your face but the bronzer gives a lovely glowing effect to the skin. This bronzer has much less orange tones to it and would say that the the pigmentation is slightly better than the dior bronzer so again just keep a light hand when you apply the bronzer.
So they are my reached out bronzers currently and the my two top bronzers of all time. I am addicted to bronzers and I am always wanting to try more! If you have any recommendations please tell me them! I also love to try different textured bronzers such as liquid, gel or cream-so please tell me your favourites!

Spring cleaning! Base products

Here in England the last few days have been sunny spells, which put me into a good spirit to welcome the new season by doing some spring cleaning. My last Sunday was spent cleaning my wardrobe and dumping half of my clothes away and feeling like my closet was from the 90's (anyone else feel like that?!)

So when it was time to clean out my make- up collection I found my old favourites which had been pushed to the back of my drawers. So for the last day or two I have been using a few of my old favourite products- a bit like shopping my stash, I guess. So the bronzer which I digged out was the soleil tan de chanel. my relationship with this product has had its ups and downs, one point I hated the colour and one point I disliked the texture of the product. But recently my love for this product is strong again, I also picked up my chanel loose powder, which is a lovely setting powder, which keeps my make-up on all day and not making it look cakey at all.
The two products which are new purchases, which I have been trying out is the new Dior bronzer and Nars blush in Gina. I have done a review for the Nars Gina blush, so if you were wondering how I got on with it check out my last post.
I have been going crazy over highlight lately and the Benefit watts up highlighter has always had a place in my heart. It gives the most lovely glow for daytime and can be built on for a more intense effect for nigh time.
For concealer I found my Bobbi Brown creamy concealer which is on its last legs and will probably last me for two more weeks. I am not head over heels for this concealer but it will make do for the week ahead till I have used it all up. For my under eye concealing I have been using the Mac highlight pen in light boost, which is a lovely light concealer, perfect for the spring/summer. And lastly I have been using my Chanel perfection lumiere which I have had a break with for the last month and I am using it again. A full review of the foundation will be up soon, so stay tuned for that!

NARS BLUSH: GINA

I recently picked up this blush and it is the my first ever Nars blush. I wasn't really planning of buying Nars blush, and the reason to this purchase was because I had £5 voucher for space nk as I reached a thousand points, so I though with a couple of pennies off the blush, it was the perfect time to purchase the blush.
I picked up the colour purely because I was drawn to the colour at the counter.
It is the most gorgeous peachy, orange colour and looks lovely on olive skin tones (MAC NC30)
The Nars website describes this blush as a 'true orange' but I would say that it peachy and slightly coral but the main colour is orange/ peach.
The pigmentation of this blush is AMAZING and a little goes such a long way! The part which I was really impressed was how long lasting the blush was. I applied this blush at 8:00 am and it stayed put until 8:00 pm,which no other blush can beat.
The blush is not completely matte but does not have any shimmer or sparkle. The blush is a satin finish so it gives a lovely sheen to the cheeks. The blush is very build- able, you can use a very light amount for a very natural flush of colour or you can also build the colour for a more intense affect.
I have been enjoying paring this blush with a peachy coloured lipstick and lots of bronzer (Dior nude tan in 003) The texture is so beautiful and blends in looking like skin and not cakey at all.
This blush comes at £21.50 with 0.16 oz amount of product and really think that you are getting your monies worth, as you really don't need a lot and would recommend this blush for anyone and great taste into Nars cosmetics.

Autumn edit: Top 5 mac eyeshadows

So, in this post I will be sharing with you guys my favourite eye shadow picks for autumn. Autumn is definitely my favourite  season just because of all the beautiful rich colours!
Without rambling on too much on my first blog post, here are my must haves!
These shades all represent the colours of autumn perfectly and look amazing on all different coloured eyes.

I have been reaching for cranberry and woodwinked a lot within October and have fallen in love with the two. From a girl who would never dare to even wear eyeshadow I am definitely a convert into more subtle coloured eye shadows!
The two look just as good on their own for a simple wash of colour over the lid together with mascara for a day look. Woodwinked is a veluxe peearl finish which I love.  The beauty of veluxe pearl finish eyeshadows is that it can act wonders on its own, you can blend the colour right up into the crease creating the illusion that two eyeshadow colours have been used.  Especially woodwinked, the more you blend it on to the lid towards the crease the darker it gets as if another specific crease colour has been used.  I do think it looks more flatttering when I am more tanned so people with fair skin might need to be careful with this shade, as it may show slightly orange, but with a light hand I am certain it will still look beautiful.

As I have brown eyes, I have always tried to focus on buying colours that would bring the true colour of my eyes.  Through endless research, the concept of using reds and greens on my eyes seemed terrifying! Cranberry was a complete random and pointless purchase just because I knew that it would sit in my MAC palette and just be something pretty to look at. I have owned this eyeshadow for way over a year and never even be bothered and had the courage to try it. After many years of sticking to natural colours which basically looked like I had nothing on my eyes, I decided to bite the bullet and try the eyeshadow as I had seen so many looks recreated with the eyeshadow. As the colour is such a statement colour, it looks lovely just on its own everyday for a subtle statement but also can be transformed into a much more daring colour my combining with other colours such as my favourite shade woodwinked.
Another coloured eyeshadow which I adventured out into, this autumn was sumptuous olive, again this eyeshadow is a veluxe pearl. When the shadow is on the lid it becomes a gold shimmery colours with green undertones.
The last two eyeshadows are handwritten and cork. Both of these colours have been my staple since I discovered the concept of eyeshadows. Cork is the perfect subtle crease colour just to contour and add definition to the eyes and handwritten is a great dark brown colour with reddy brown undertones which helps bring out my boring brown eyes.  Handwritten is a matte finish whereas cork is a satin.
So that's a round up of my favourite eye shadows currently. Hope this has helped you guys to pick some eyeshadows. I would love to here what your top picks are too.
